• May 2009: Purogati in Blood Banking and Children's Cancer Development in India

    Purogati has partnered with St Jude Children's Hospital and IMPACT, an Indian NGO based in Hyderabad (downloadable brochure), to further develop an existing pediatric cancer ward currently seeing 40 patients a day. Further development through the International Outreach of St Jude and Purogati includes basic blood banking and diagnostic testing for pediatric cancers, and research and publication on pre and post treatment outcomes.

  • February 2009: Purogati is Disabling Disabilities

    Purogati has partnered with Benetech Foundation (www.benetech.org) to bring Benetech's Bookshare technology to visually impaired children and adults in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Bookshare includes voice recognition technology, computer screen interface technology, scanning software and assistive devices to allow visually impaired users to independently access literature, word processing and the Internet.

  • March 2008: Purogati partners with AADP

    Purogati has partnered with the Asian American Donor Program (AADP), the largest organization working for Asian representation in the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. Asha Pillai has joined the Advisory Board of the AADP.
